Laurie is currently a National Academic Specialist with Accelerate Learning. She is a former public educator, with over 20 years of experience working with students in 4th through 8th grade in both math and science! Throughout her educational career, Laurie has served as a teacher, instructional coach, principal, and district math director, 

Laurie lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with her husband, Cole, and three four-legged "children."  Laurie and Cole are empty nesters, as their daughter, Haley, (a UNT alum) and son, Evan, (a Texas Tech alum) are adulting on their own. 

In her free time, Laurie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and enjoying music and theatrical events with friends.
